No matter how seasons change or how far geography divides, as long as that fuyu fragrance blooms on the tongue, Hunan people know the river of blood connecting them to home has never frozen.
On February 8, 2026, the Vancouver Hunan Association’s Year of the Horse Lunar New Year gala was grandly held at the Lucky Seafood Restaurant. Staged as a traditional round-table Chinese banquet for an expected thirty tables, the gala brought together hundreds of Hunan natives and friends from all walks of life to celebrate the Lunar New Year, share hometown ties and embark on a new journey. Themed “Auspicious New Start, Hunan Meets the Horse Year”, the event built an important platform for overseas Hunanese to connect, share friendship and discuss development.

As a supporting brand of the gala, Jiugui sponsored one bottle of Jiugui per table, delivering Hunan’s sincere blessings to guests with its rich, mellow aroma. Amid the joyful, lively atmosphere, Jiugui became an important bond for passing feelings around the table, deepening the meaning of reunion and thickening the taste of the New Year.
A Glass of Jiugui, A Toast to Reunion
The Lunar New Year carries the deepest emotional memories of the Chinese nation. For Hunan people overseas, a glass of hometown wine is not only familiar on the palate, but belonging in the heart.
As familiar wine aromas rose around the tables and Hunan dialect echoed through the Vancouver night, Jiugui carried the landscapes of western Hunan and memories of home across a thousand miles to the dinner table with its distinctive flavour. That longing and kinship spanning mountains and seas quietly warmed between toasts. That sip — sweet on entry, long in the finish — was not just taste enjoyed, but homesickness carried and culture continued.
In a foreign land, between raised glasses, feelings grow stronger and hearts draw nearer.

Wine as Medium, Inheriting Huxiang Culture
Jiugui originates in Hunan and is rooted in the fertile soil of western Hunan, carrying the distinctive character and spirit of Huxiang culture. Over the years, the brand has upheld quality brewing and cultural heritage, working so more people can feel Hunan’s landscapes and cultural depth through a good glass. Supporting the Vancouver Hunan Association’s Lunar New Year gala was an important act of Jiugui’s cultural responsibility and support for overseas community exchange — and a true portrait of the emotional bond between the brand and Hunanese abroad.
Sponsoring this gala is Jiugui’s sincere salute to the Huxiang community. We have always believed — wine is not just a drink, but an expression of feeling and a continuation of culture. With the power of our brand, we support the reunion and exchange of overseas Hunanese, letting the taste of home bloom in more corners of the world.

Making Every Toast More Meaningful
Going forward, Jiugui will continue to use wine as its medium, actively spreading Huxiang wine culture so more overseas wanderers feel home’s warmth between toasts. We hope a familiar glass of hometown wine awakens shared memories and emotional kinship, letting Huxiang culture take root and sprout in foreign lands. Wherever you are, raising this glass from home gives homesickness a place to rest and culture a way to continue.
The Horse Year begins a new journey; wine aroma travels ten thousand miles. Jiugui will keep bridging home soil and distant lands, memory and the present, and everyone who holds home in their heart — as a bridge of wine. May homesickness always have wine to honour; may the New Year taste richer; may the Huxiang spirit stand ever more confident on the world stage!
Jiugui joins you in toasting reunion.
